Hmmmm. That's a societal issue, but individually its a choice. It is true though, people have a tendency to pedestal a person with good looks and "wealth" or if you have developed notoriety for that matter too .... thus their opinions have more impact/influence and are more readily heard. People are "open" to their idols opinions because they have an idealistic perception of the person as a whole.
As a generalization it is true.

Scientifically speaking, there is plenty of research that indicates that a face which adheres to the phi ratio of 1.618 is generally considered the most beatiful. There is also plenty of research indicating that people who are beautiful are percieved as being more intelligent, often ARE more intelligent because parents/teachers pay more attention to them since they are beautiful, are more social because they gain more social skills through interaction with alot of people which are attracted to them because of their natural beauty, and ultimately, earn considerably more money.
Those are just the OBSERVABLE statistics that research has come up with... Obviously, MOST of the time beautiful people are no more intelligent than those that are not... But in the real world, they are often treated as if they are.
There's TONS of psychologically research that goes into the signficant of "beauty" and what is percieved as beautiful. It's interesting to read about it...
So, again, realistically speaking, everyone is about the same. But, unfortunately, the world is often about perception.

Have you ever heard the saying opinions are like a-- everyone has one? I'm sure most people listen to beautiful opinions over ugly ones - and I'm sure most people "hear" beautiful opinions from "beautiful" people more then non-beautiful people.
Ugh--What did I just say?

Uhhhh? Yea. I guess. It doesn't matter what you look like.....your opinion matters but you have to learn the time to speak your mind and the time to not speak your mind. Have a great day!
