I need to write a literary analysis paper on east of eden dealing with how kathy manipulates so many characters in the book through love and reasoning. it's due tomorrow and it's my final and i can't fail it!! so someone please help...i'm lost

That's a toughie. I've never read it myself (hope you have - although with misspelling Cathy's name and all I'm a bit worried). I understand it has also been made into a movie. I wouldn't say your task is impossible, but if it were me I'd be in serious trouble.
Just skimming through the summary (source below), it really doesn't look like there's a lot of love and reasoning on Cathy/Kate's part - except maybe for short term incidents. Looks like an interesting book. Good luck with the paper.
