Doesn't empowerment come at a price? Whether prestige or a fee.

The famous may appear benign, but politeness too can conquer a room.

Isn't cooperation an example of power diffusing?

The USA is great because you have small countries who have agreed to give up some of there autonomy to belong to a larger concept. This is not domination its cooperation. The world must follow suit i.e. UN. or some such institution. POWER! belongs to the cooperative. Cooperation will- dominate over domination. Love is not dominating yet it dominates. the answer is yes.

Yes. For example, the US government is supposed to be arranged with three seperate branches with seperate powers so that none can dominate the others. And sometimes it does work.

Political structures often arrange themselves in a similar manner, even without a constitution. At your job, you probably have certain powers that someone above you does not have. At least, he can't watch you all the time. And there are laws that protect you from being completely dominated as well.

I believe this is more than just a happy circumstance. I believe it is a consequence of human nature. When one person does become powerful enough to completely dominate, it usually breaks down within a few years as they become greedy and arrogant.

Only if the person in power in completely controlled by the guidance of the spirit of God which is pretty much impossible, so NO, power equals domination, look at bush. says he hears and talks with God, that's possible but from HIM? No way, half a million dead.I do have to say that I am 6ft8"320lbs16eeee feet know a lot about wrestling, boxing, karate.I do not dominate unless its a natural thing, that's just me, in action being me,and just living, but I Do have power and I never have hit someone first nor tried to force myself even while being a salesman on anyone.which as a matter of fact I am a great salesman. with out being domineering.I worked at a health club, I was decent, the manager said the way I was trying to make sales would not work I was to nice, It took a few months but I had more people bringing in people so I could try to make sales, and I did do very well, even though I was not at all pushy which the other salesman were, you can do ok in this world with out being pushy.Peace.

Yes. A lot of of powerful figures made it to the limelight without dominating. But yet they are powerful. Powerful in a sense that they entice total respect and role-models worth emulating. Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa are ones to think. And a lot more small-time people like Terry Fox whose power dominated the minds of all people and who are geared towards helping other people.

Cetainly. There is power gained through cooperation, innovation, natural selection, and other ways. Domination is an option for use of the power, but not a requirement to obtain power.

regrettably in many primate communities, there's a severe dominance subculture, this pertains to an persons get entry to to nutrition, mating, place to sleep, even survival. interior the wild, once you look previous the lovable and fluffy, the placid and tame are in many situations the 1st eaten. till they're solitary maximum species have some style of hierarchy, many combat or visit conflict if purely for the subsequent meal. and whether solitary, the splendid to mate is in many situations fraught with demanding situations and violence. the closest element to a splendidly non violent co-existence is interior the human mind's eye. If we supply up our *dominance as a rustic (*study "sovereignty") - we'd be subjected to the whims of others who choose stress. If we supply up our dominant place on the nutrition chain, we'd be lion nutrition. Shana

NO.
power and domination could never be separated.

If there is Power - in one way or the other there will be domination cause when two powers will fight - one has to be the winner. and winner is the Dominant.
Domination without power - no doubt , does not make sense.

Of course

Personal power. Even if you believe all else is out of your control....when a situation lands in your lap, is it not your choice, how you respond to it? What are you thinking now? Can't you change it?

Domination only exists when fear is the motivating factor, it comes from an entity that knows only to oppress to gain "control"

When you go within, you need not go without..............

internal vs external
