I had my period on Jan 10 and that was almost 2 weeks ago. Yesterday afternoon I started to spotting. Its not heavy anuf to need a pad, liner, or a tampon. It is really dark red and brown. I see it when I wipe after using the bathroom but its not a nuf to leek in to my underware. I did have unprotected sex on Jan 19. Can some one give me an ideal about what is could be? .

Please, do yourself a favor and go see a doctor it could be serious it could be normal but it is always best to seek medical advice before it gets worst and gives you more complications in the near future, woman are fragile your body goes through so many changes its unreal but not unheard of. i don't think you are pregnant either. that happens to me a lot too. i think it is just some of whatever is left over after you have your period. having sex may have brought alittle more of it out is all. i get it all the time after i think i'm done. i'm always disapointed when i go to the bathroom and wipe and find more blood aftering thinking i was done. mine is usually light red or almost brownish, and goes away that day or the next. if it doesn't go away within a few days, just go see your doc, and ask why. there is also a toll free number you can call if you live here in canada, that will give medical advice on anything if you think it's not worth seeing your doc, but still wanting to find out what is going on. I don't remember the number but it is called Telecare. Look it up in the yellow pages, or call 411.

Are you on birth control pills? if so has the dosage been changed? It is probably just a slight break thru spotting that is common and shouldn't last many days. If it does check with the doctor..or gets heavy. If this happens often and you are on the pill he may want to change the dosage of your pill.

If its brown, then it might be urinary trek infection. Check with your doctor. Urinary trek can be caused by sex.
