In renaisance art lots of mythological figures, and biblical figures, are depicted naked. It is because the artists allegedly felt the human form was the pinacle of beauty, but actually was because they were competing for wealthy patrons and used these figures to show off their newest techniques in proportions, perspective, and their agility in sculpting. The human body is one of the most complex figures in nature.

ROmans were giant perverts, but they didn't usually depict their gods naked. They are usually wearing clothing unique to that god. That's how they were identified.

To give respect and homage to their most intricate creation, the human body.

To show the Gods as, in a metaphorical way, human. They had moods. They had desires. Some had ambitions. This is reflected in their naked bodies.

Nudity happened quite a bit at the time, it wasn't a very big deal.

Because they were not bound by the concept of "clothes" and "covering up the body." The need to hide yourself with clothes was brought up by the Christians because they thought that the body was dirty.
