A couple months ago, a website gave my computer a virus. I got rid of it and now I want to find out what the sites IP address is with out going to the site and getting the virus again. Any tips on how I could do this for free with out downloading anything?

If you know the name of the site:

1. Start -> Run
2. Type cmd, hit Ok
3. Type tracert www.nameOfSite.com

Last IP address shown is the site's.

You can ping the website from a command prompt

1.Go to [Start] [Run] and type in cmd in the dialog box, click ok
2. A Dos windows will open
3. At the dos prompt type ping www.yahoo.com (enter the website address) [enter]
4. The ping will reply back with the domains ip address.

Open a command prompt window and type "ping www.whatever.com" and you will get the IP address if that site is still up and in existence.
