I want to go to college to become a Marine Biologist. How long would it take me to go to school? I heard 4 years but then my teacher told me that you had to specialize in someting? Please help me. If you are a real Marine Biologist can you tell me all of the work that you do and how long it took you to go to school?

I started out majoring in Marine Biology - it typically takes 5 years to earn a Bachelor's degree, simply because of the quantity of lab classes you have to take and the difficulty level; you have to double up on labs most semesters and then triple up one semester to finish in four years, and that doesn't leave much free time for anything else. The University of North Carolina at Wilmington has a good marine biology program. I ended up a nurse, which seemed like a better idea to me. :) Good luck! :)
