the power anymore to be much of a threat?

You can't send an army to fight ghosts. This is what's happening in the Middle East. The current situation is unwinable. Look at what happened to Russia. They were stuck in Afghanistan for 10 years fighting. The war finally bled them dry and helped caused the collapse of the Soviet Union.

He was behaving as any leader of his kind would be expected to. What can I comment on.

The USA can make his life diifcult but he's not about to go around admitting it. In the short term at least, he's probably right the USA won't outright invade him. On the otherhand, most of the security council has got to have some genuince concerns about a nuclear iran.
