"if she was in a relationship and both of them did not want to have children, then she could have the procedure done. But not now."

Isn't that like telling her if she can get a man's permission then she can have her tubes tied?

She's single, 26 years old and does not want to take the risk of being pregnant because of her diabetes

Diabetes is a chronic health problem.I guess she is worried that the babyand her health might be affected by diabetes. She is really too young to make that kind of decision and she may change her mind later as often women do.

at the same time as my son become born I had my tubes tied the subsequent day and did no longer ought to have a c-area. I had an epidural put in when I entered the health center and they saved it in for the surgical operation the subsequent day. when you're uncertain in case you actually want it executed then i might want to attend till your son is somewhat older. I chosen to get mine executed at the same time as my son become born because i become already contained in the health center so this way i does no longer ought to bypass decrease back. yet years later (after divorcing my youngster's father) I were given remarried and extremely last 3 hundred and sixty 5 days had the surgical operation reversed. They did the c-area decrease for the reversal yet no longer for the tubal ligation. lower back, if you aren't any further one hundred% effective you want to do it then wait. best of success.

I think that her MD is only concerned that when she gets into a very serious relationship that she might change her mind. Any doctor who would preform such a radical and irreversible procedure on someone so young should have their license stripped. Tell your girlfriend to look into getting an IUD. They are almost as effective as a tubal ligation, last for up to 10 years, and are reversible.
