So for example you were playing Final fantasy 3 on the Nintendo ds and then you happen to lose it.You get pissed and then buy the same game again will it have your saved progress from the last game (that you lost) on your DS?

No, all video game data is saved onto the game cartridge. That's not true for console games though.

it depends if it is a cartridge for example the gameboy it said onto the cartridge if it saves onto the nintendo DS itself then you can buy a new game and be able to play it from where you left off,if it doesn't save directly on the DS then when u lose the game.then you have to start over.

Unfortunaly you will have to start thew game from the begining, the DS save to the game cartridge not the console.
