I'm 30. I have a BA degree in liberal arts (psychology minor). I took classes in education, psychology, Spanish and etc. I've only worked as a secretary, file clerk and receptionist in a couple law offices. Law really bores me. I have no desire to become a lawyer or paralegal. For the past 10 years I've volunteered off and on in schools, churches and other organizations teaching children, serving food to homeless people, and etc etc. I enjoy working with nonprofits helping people. I want to go back to school and do something more in psychology/sociology/ social field than say legal field. Before I go back to school I would like to have some idea what field/job I want to pursue. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to decide? Do I volunteer at different places? Read books? Go talk to career services at my former college? How did you choose a career?
