Absolutely not!! The menial jobs in society are supremely important.... we need people to dig ditches, clean toilets, be the greeter at Wal-Mart... there is no shame in having a job like this, they are very much contributing to society... but if everyone was "smart," or even equally intelligent... no one would want those menial jobs... they'd all be over qualified and bored... which would lead to depression....

Whether you believe in God or not, you've got to realize that there's a reason we are the way we are... life balances it's self out without our help.

YES! Definitely! Smarter people contribute more to society by earning more income and being able to buy more/pay more taxes for the economy. Educated people are more able to act consciously towards world problems like health conditions, poverty and environmental issues. Also, educated women tend to have less children, and the population is better able to support itself.
