for using the "C" and "W" words.
I personally am outraged that white commics are condemmed for sayin "Niger", "Niga", or "*****" (which is not offensive in nature) while black commidians are encouraged to use the words "cracker" and "wigger, and that white poeple are sued for using such language. Should white people not start suing black people for using such language? Please answer both questions. Thank you.

What does centuries of slavery have to do with question? In case you have not noticed slavery has been illegal for more than 100 years. Furthermore that still does not give ANYONE the right to be use racial remarks. Moreover just because some white people's ancestors owned slaves does not mean the those white people are anything like their ancestors.

JUICED*, I would never, in any way want to use such derogatory language. I simply do not think that the current system of punishment and vindication for the use of offensive language in today's society is justifiable.

I think that it's equally racist when black comics talk about white people. In this society unfortunately it's considered acceptable. If they continue to say that word, that's telling me it's ok to use it. If it's ok for them to call us cracker, i will continue to say it. Just cause it's something they were called in the 1850's doesn't mean it's wrong.

because we have been brought up to blame everything on society for the way we talk and lets blame it on everyone else other than ourselves attitude,and sue, sue, sue the hell out of someone for saying nothing more than a word that was used often when my grandma was young (and not used in disrespect) and if the white says such a thing then hey we have all the different groups such as the NAACP and whatever you can think of to "support" us while you other folks dont have such benefits. Maybe the whites should start with the lawsuits, maybe there is an attorney out there that would be brave enough to put some of "our" disrespectful people to shame and stop all of this nonsense onec and for all.

I don't know but I wish it'll all stop. "Niger", "Niga", "*****" all of them are degrating and should be used by no one including black people. I didn't know white people take cracker and wigger so offensively but blacks shouldn't say that either.
Should whites start sueing...no because it would result in something chaotic and will never be resolved...
And why do they put stars when I type in the real word??

RACISM! No we should not sue, then we would be stooping to the level of those who use such words. Also the more attention things like this get in the courts and media the longer racism will be around.

Why does it matter and what's the purpose of these questions anyway? Last time I checked I don't remember anyone being encouraged to use such degrading language.

None of them are acceptable and show very little class and poor social skills. The lawsuits will only end once lawyers stop being so greedy and accepting the cases.

Well, publically as in on the streets usualy white ppl are too scared to fight against black ppl so black ppl see this as no real consequence in saying thins,but in comedians usually white most white people i heard of said they aren't offended by that word so i guess comedians use w/e thats funny.The thing is though comedians joke about every race.Michael Richards crossed the line using it by saying stuff like hang them *******.

because after years of persecution due to slavery by people like you, blacks (not ****** or coloreds which is offensive too) have all the right in the world as far as i am concerned to reprimand us for using the "n" word, and all the right to call us crackers which really isn't as offensive as the "n" word

I agree. I think that if white people cannot say the word, that no one should be able to use it. If it is so offensive, when black people say it, aren't they just bringing themselves down and disrespecting each other? It's just not classy.
