He already won MVP and the cover is for whatever part of the game they want to highlight. When Ray Lewis was on the cover they wanted to highlight the improved defense. When McNabb was on the cover they wanted to highlight the new and improved QB play.
If they do something to improve Wide Receiver in game play the cover might be Torry Holt or somebody.
(Improved TE play = Gates?)
And then they want to feature the guy who epitomizes the improvement.
If, say, Brian Wesbrook epitomizes the run style the improved then LT avoids the curse.

He won th MVP award. As for Madden, I think he will be because they're really isn't a better choice.

He should avoid the cover like the plague. The Madden curse could bring him down in his prime. He's got Emmit's record in his sights...stay away from Madden L.T., stay away!

I dunno. I think it will probably be Drew Brees on the cover. League-leading passer, carried the most explosive offense on his shoulders, etc. The sympathy for the Saints has been sooo strong, and he was the glue holding them together. He almost single-handedly turned one of the worst teams around into a dominating franchise.
