If india is the most pro-american country in the world, why does the media show all the negatives of india. When I go to Mumbai, India although the roads are bad and there is some poverty we go clubbing, to great restaurants, bowling, out to see movies, Shopping at gigantic malls. At New delhi and Bangalore we do the same. American media makes it seem like we have nothing. As if we ride elephants, charm snakes, have palaces everywhere, live in poverty...this is only true for the rural areas and tourist destinations. Also, there isn't much desert like they make it seem. Some places have really good infrastructure. The american media is really disturbing.

India is pro-American because many US companies have call centers set up there to cut overhead operation cost. Which I guess the media finds offensive. I worked for a company in Indiana that laid off 35% of the companies workforce to outsource jobs to an Indian company for a lot less money. Financially it was appealing to do that. But the employees of the company in India were hard to understand, and the difference in social make up made it even harder to tolerate for the customers here in the United States. The company had received so many complaints because the diction of the Indian employees made it impossible for the customers concerns to be resolved, the company had to bring the positions back to the Indiana location. Which ended up costing the company more money than they had saved. It has little to do with the appeal of the country or it's people, and more to do with the impact that Indian businesses have on the consumers here in America.

Maybe because they do not want Americans to invest in India. India is mind boggling. I totally agree with you. It has everything that is known to man and everything that is unknown to man.... Unfortunately, India is doing the same thing to Bangladesh..... Next time you go to India, try visiting the Sundarbans (Mangrove forests) of West Bengal and Bangladesh. I assume you will return there because it is said one does not make one trip to India. But seriously go to the Sundarbans. It is a place like no other.
