Curse of the Black Pearl was so much better than Dead Man's Chest. The plot was easy to follow and did not have the insane amount of subplots that Dead Man's Chest had. When I saw Dead Man's Chest I wanted to rip out my hair after the first few minutes because of the constant shifting between viewpoints and subplots. Plus the fact that there were waaay too many advertising tie-ins.

The only redeeming part of the film was the ending where Barbossa was brought back by Tia Dalma thus setting up a means for resurrecting Captain Jack Sparrow.

Personally, I think this is one of those rare occasions when the sequel was equal to the first in terms of special effects, acting talent, and plot line. Personally though, I prefer number 2.

I think Caribbean 1 is better. The second one didn't have as many surprises in it - but was good too.

in some ways, but in other ways the 2nd is better
the important thing is that the 3rd is coming out so it doesn't matter as long as u watch the awesomeness.

1 is better but 2 is almost as good.. i dunno they are both great! can't wait for thr 3rd one
