I wouldn't worry about it. My oldest didn't get her first tooth until she was 10 months old. On her first birthday, she only had her first two bottom teeth. My second was cutting her first tooth on her first birthday. And now, I have a toothless 6 and a half month old, who shows no signs whatsoever that her first tooth is coming. I wouldn't worry, they'll come. Plus you have an advantage, the longer the baby teeth stay under the gums, the better. Because of this your baby's teeth will be stronger. They will have been exposed to less formula or breastmilk. Which means less cavities, strong teeth, and your baby's teeth will be less likely to suffer from tooth decay. My older two daughters have never had a cavity and the oldest is 5, almost 6. The teeth will come, and they will be healthier.

My daughter did not get her first tooth until she was 11 months old (christmas day to be exact) The dentist said that the longer they wait, the better and stronger the teeth will be. She is now six years old and still has all her baby teeth and none are even loose. Don't worry about it! They will come, and they will be strong and healthy, and chances are they will not get decayed. Good luck!

Don't worry about it. Some babies don't get teeth until they are 1! All babies are different. I have been told the later the teeth come in, the stronger the teeth are. Not sure if that is true, or just someone trying to make me feel better about my toothless tot.
Mine is almost 10 months and just has the bottom two. That is in. and she just got the 2nd one.....

The average is 5-7 months but some kids get teeth way earlier or later. My step daughter got her first tooth at 11 months, bio daughter at 8 months.

Most likely the teeth are fine, some children just don't get them until later. If you are really worried talk to your doctor at your 9 month appointment and he can clue you in on when to worry. Some kids don't get teeth until 1.

Every child gets their teeth at a different rate. Be glad you havent had to deal with that yet! Seriously though my daughter who is now 13 didnt get her first tooth until well into her 1st yr. She went for her dental checkup as recommened in the first yr xrays showed the teeth were there and had she not cut them on her own by 18 months they planned on cutting her gums for her. Thank goodness she cut one then they all seemed to come in shortly after

My niece didn't have any until she was 13 months old. Her teeth have always been slow. I think she still has one baby tooth left to lose (she's 13 years old now). He should be fine, if you're that worried, talk with your pediatrician at his 9 month well baby visit.

Just like everyone else said - no worries. My daughter was 11 months before she got her first tooth, but then made up for lost time and in three months cut 10teeth.

It's nothing at all to worry about. My daughter didn't get her first tooth till after her 1st birthday and my son got his first tooth at 4 months. It just varies from kid to kid.
