80's rock fans?

What are your favorite 80's hard rock/metal bands/solo artists? Why?

there's SO many...ac/dc, guns n' roses, metallica, rolling stones, the angels, aerosmith, van halen, inxs, jimi hendrix, john cougar mellencamp, led zepp, pearl jam, queen, rage against the machine, screaming jets, stevie wright, the eagles, the ramones, twisted sister, violent femmes....
simply because i love rock....great guitar riffs...loud music...amazing solos...there's nothing better.

My favorite 80's bands are Def Leppard and Quiet Riot, because awesome lyrics + catchy beats = Unexplainable goodness. I think rock really started to dominate music in the 80's. I watch Metal Mania on VH1 Classic all the time, and if you're not sure about rock music, it's the best place to go. Rock on!

Cinderella, Winger, Ratt, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot, AC/DC, Trixter, Damn Yankees, Every Mother's Nightmare, Ozzy, Guns N Roses, Faster Pussycat.

Cinderella and Winger because that's the first concert I ever saw. All the rest because they were good. I grew up listening to these guys, plus many others.

Here they are :
Judaspriest - They are the one of greatest heavy metal band that ever exist in this world. They bring some new metal music to the world, they bring what we called as NWOBHM, new wave of british heavy metal, a genre of heavy metal that are really awesome. Judaspriest bring this genre to the world, they spreading it like diseases. Even they are not alone, but for me they are the best for that genre. And until now they keep bang the world with their music.

Vampyr - for many people maybe this band is unknown or maybe a bad metal band, but for me they are really a killer band for heavy metal, hail from germany, they never reach as the top artist either, but for me this band is really everything to me. They just release one album only, and i love it to death. Their music is so rough, speedy, hard, heavy and brutal mix with a cool vocal then mix again with some riffs. Very cool band to collect.

Razor - they are hailing from canada as a thrash metal band. They are not a big star in their genre, but you will know after you listen to them. I love their "Evil Invanders" album very much. They bring some brutal music in speedy and rough elements in the same time. Their music is so really original.

Accept - are there metalheads that never know them ??? i do not think so, every metalhead in this world must know them. They are one of the biggest heavy metal band in the world from germany. This band is really amazing, what the cool part are their vocalist and the guitarists. Some cool heavy riffs mix by a cool sore throat vocal.

Without a doubt.....GUNS & ROSES. There were A LOT of good bands back in that era but G & R broke barriers that most felt were untouchable. Tipper Gore was always on Axel's *** about the drugs and rapes and murders he sang about. Still he sang on. Slash just added fuel to a scorching blaze.

I love Def Leopard! I am 12 years old,but my dad got me hooked on 80s songs when I was real young.I also love Mr.Big,and I like The Scorpions.

U2 because I love the lyrics-- they make me think and express things on a deeper level, it reminds me of my teen years (I loved high school!) and I still like them and their new music today.
