I need your help with my new web cam?

I bought a new web cam called Logitech Quick Cam Communicate STX I have installed it like recommened but cant get the web cam part to work I got the picture part to work but it wont do the web cam it comes up black please help

If you have Windows XP, you don't have to 'install' the camera. It should be plug & play with proper drivers already installed in XP.
Try this: Go to Control Panel / Add Remove Programs and UNinstall the web cam.
After UNinstalling, plug the camera into a USB port and you should get a pop-up saying "New Hardware Found -- followed by another pop-up saying "New Hardware Installed and Ready To Use."
Everything should work now.
