Im not an expert at tennis so I want to figure something
If you saw Sharapovas first game in Australian Open this year the score in one of her sets went up to 9 how does that work isn't it up to 6 - 6 then a tie break

in the final set in some tournament you don't play a tie breaker so you keep playing to some win by two games ex.9-7

In tennis to win a set you have to be up by 2 games to win for example 5-7, 7-9 and if it gets tied like 5-6 the 6-6 then you play a tiebreak!

I'm pretty sure I heard today that in the last set, they don't go into a tie break...They just keep going until a player wins by 2 set points. And I think it only applies in the Australian Open, at least, for now.

Why would anyone complain about more time watching Sharapova? I wish it would have gone 50-48.

theres no tie breaker for the final set each player has to serve and hold her serve and break her opponents one and till the complete break is achieved u keep playing

Women dont play tiebreakers in the third set.
Men don't play them in the 5th set
