There are many muscles in the arm and shoulder involved, these include:Biceps brachii, Brachioradialis, Anconeous, Triceps, Deltoid, And in the back, Infraspinatus, Teres Minor and Teres Major,also Pectroralis,Subscapularis,Latissimus dorsi, and several others in the hand (Abductor pollicis brevis, and Adductor digitorum minimi, plus the intrinsic hand muscles,in short, there are a lot involved ( actually, the trunk and leg muscles are inevitable activated in the process of the throw and follow-up)

Honestly if your form is correct, it uses a lot. Your legs especially, your quads in your legs give your entire body power, while supporting your weight and making you more stable. Obviously your forearm, bicep, and triceps being the 3 major muscles of the arm. You shoulder, traps, and upper and lower back, because your entire body moves with the throw, your abdominal play a part in posture and support as well, and your obliques because of the twisting motion your body makes when thrown correctly.

Techincally, youre using your whole body by stepping forward, twisting your whole body and then lunging your arm forward. But i guess arm muscles would be it... And the wrist, you have to flick the ball to make it spiral right?
