Would the U.S. be better off if we were socialists?

We need a balance...we have too much of a phobia of Socialists ideas and we are too capitalistic. Countries like Sweden, Norway and Denmark have a healthy balance with wonderful results...sort of a "semi-democracy."

I like their statistics...why can't we as 'Merkans wake up and smell the coffee. Capitalism, Corporate Welfare, and Corporate Republic isn't working at all. Time to look around and see what IS working.
