Last month I broke up with my girlfriend of 2 and a half years and I can't get her off my mind and get any closure. She's moved on and has a new boyfriend already and I'm still stuck on her and want to leave the memory behind.

Sorry about your great loss. I've been there and I know your loss is great. A country music singer named Crystal Gale puts out a nice song called;
'I'll get over you' Clint Black,also a country music singer,has a good one called; 'A better man'. Your loss wounded you on the inside of you body. And just like a deep wound on the outside of your body,it's going to have to have'time' to heal. Best of luck to you.
Oh, I just thought of another one. The Statler Brothers have a good song called; 'There'll always be that one'

I wouldn't listen to one in that instance, I would try to move on myself and that would be a great first step is to try to forget about her, she did move on already, so that should just make it a closure in itself. Maybe start a hobby like joining a gym or something to keep your mind off her and focused on you.

i've been there! i broke up with my boyfriend of (almost) 2yrs not that long ago. i think it helps if you listen to music that won't remind you or her...maybe even stuff she didn't like. listen to some songs that aren't about love, just to take your mind off her! it also helps to go out with your mates....do something fun...and maybe try to move on as well. she sounds like she's not worth you thinking about her 24/7...if you broke up after that long! i know it takes time....but you'll get over it. just have fun, go out and live your life.....THERE IS LIFE AFTER HER! don't worry about getting closure, it's usually useless anyway! just do things that you love...and go check out some other chicks! you're single now! time to partay! whoo hoo!!!

You really should buy the CD "Sea Change" by Beck. The whole album is breakup material and will make you feel better.

Umm, it's called no song! Stop thinking about it and get over it. You wasted 2 years with her, don't let her waste any more of your time.

Try "No Woman, No Cry" by Bob Marley. It is pretty much one of my favorite songs.
