If 9/11 hadn't happened. I think GW would have invaded Iraq under another cover story. It just happened that his lame attempt to connect Iraq with 9/11 was enough to allow him to do so. There has never been a definite connection made between the terrorist and 9/11. Nor did the troops find WMD's that he insisted they had. I think he would have gone ahead and done it anyway. Clearly Saddam had to be overthrown. But GHW Bush should have done it when the coalition was stronger during the first gulf war.

Bush doesn't wait for anyone to allow him to do anything. If 9/11 hadn't happened, he would have found a way to get us into a war. What was he doing before 9/11? Nothing.

no human being ever said that Iraq had something to do with 9/11. even with the very shown actuality that, Bush would link both at the same time in his speeches, retaining "9/11" round the same time he would discuss "Iraq". it is an promoting gimmick. yet Bush isn't the first human being who seen invading Iraq. in case you bypass lower back a pair more suitable years, John Kerry change into pushing to invade Iraq, yet then-President Clinton did no longer want to bypass to conflict. appropriate right here's the deal. Al-Qaida's perfect criticism change into that the U. S. had air bases in Saudi Arabia, their "holy land". Iraq change into no longer seen extremely Muslim to the distinct, more suitable strict Arab international places, and so the gamble change into that no human being would care over there if we invaded it and equipped our air bases there instead. And so we did. At way too severe a cost, IMO, and that i do no longer propose money.

Nope. Clever, huh?!?
Read "Operation Northwoods", the US government's formerly classified plans to develop a "terror campaign" to CREATE an "apparent threat to peace in the Western hemisphere" in 1962. Page 10 describes how to FAKE an attack using a commercial plane so to TRICK the public into supporting military action on Cuba/Castro. (Just for fun, pretend it says Iraq/Hussein or Afghanistan/bin Laden wherever it says Cuba/Castro, and see if anything sounds familiar.)

I say NO to that one. but it gives more credence to the inside job theory. (There were no Iraquis or Afghanis in the 9/11 plot) most if not all were Saudis.
