Psychology would say that she is reaching for something.. and when she points she is saying something important. That is body language... look at how she sings.. she disappears into her mind when she is singing... so her mind lets you know with the fingers what she is doing.... reaching for the meaning... reaching for the NOTES... reaching for the way she needs to sing when she performs.... heck... she tries hard!!!

It might just be a habit that she's gotten used to doing. Some don't notice, like me. I guess she just does.
