you take the number and divide it by 100 for example 75% would equal 0.75 and 100% would equal 1

Move the decimal point 2 digits to the left.

Here is what I do,
if there is a percent such as 98% you could easily convert it to 0.98 If there is a percent such as 8% you will easily convert it to 0.08 If there is a percent such as 200% you could easily convert it to 2.00
