How does one take a medical assisting course on-line? There is no way to get hands on experience. How would you learn how to give an injection, fill syringes, remove stitches, use an autoclave for sterilizing instruments? I know you mention that you were a nursing assistant, so maybe you already know how to give injections? IMHO I really think one needs a lot of hands on when it comes to doing clinical skills and on-line courses can't offer you that. If I were you I would reconsider your decision on taking an on-line course.

I've never heard of that online.....but it doesn't mean that it's not offered somewhere. The advice I can tell you is to make sure that there is openings in the area you live at for this. It doesn't do any good to go through all of that, and you can't find a job. In the area where I live at...in Louisiana, they consider this unprofessional.....meaning without a degree (associates or bachelors). So in Louisiana, you would most probably paid in the area of minimum wage, if you could find a job doing this. I wish you the best of luck.
