alright, i have a 22 year old sister who is about just 3-4 weeks pregant and she is scared to death. we're full japanese, which means our parents are one of those strict asian parents. our father is not in the picture because he never was. the problem is our mother. I've know her boyfriend since my sister started dating him. he's had bad records, he has a son who he cant see..you know, before he was in real trouble. since he met my sister, he has changed a lot. i never trusted him at first but now i know he's a great person who will always be by my sisters side. HOWEVER, our mother does not like him at all because of all the things he's done. he's not allowed to see my sister or come by to our house, but of course they still see eachother because they truely love eachother. She asked me to tell my mother about her but i think she's a grown person, she should do it her own, what do you guys think? she just doesnt want to hurt our mom but she really wants this baby

she is an adult and it is her decision. your sister is the one in the situation and no matter how hard it may be on her she needs to face it. you just keep doing your best at being supportive for all sides involved.

i would tell your sister to not do anything she would regret. and maybe not now but your mom will come around. all parents love the little innocent faces of their grandchild.
and that your sister could say "i love you mom and i always will and i know you want what is best for me. but i know what is best for me too. and i would love your support no matter what."

good luck to you all. and best of wishes.

She is 22 years old a grown women she should marry this man and move out of her moms house. And you should not have to be the bearer of bad news to your mom either she is grown and she got herself into this situation she can tell her mom herself.
And your mom is only trying to be pertective of her children this you know right? Anyways tell your sister to tell your mom the truth and be grown up about it 22 is a normal age for a women to have a baby and be married!

I understand there is a cultural difference, but your sister is an adult. I know your mom is pissed right now, but she only wants the best for you , your sister, and now a new baby. It's very hard to learn to trust someone with such a bad track record... basically it's up to your sister boyfriend to prove himself!!!

I hope everything works out for them.

She is a 22 year old woman. Your mother may get upset, but when she lays her eyes on her new grandbaby the anger will disappear. Your sister should definitely be the one to tell her the truth. You just need to be there to be supportive of both of them

I would step back...it is her job to tell your mom. I think she should wait awhile though...probably until she finishes the first trimester. She should talk to her boyfriend and you can even speak to him about how he better show her his full support now more than ever.

She'll have plenty of time later for having baybeez. Abort it or put it out for adoption.
