The only thing that would be something good would be an iPod. That would be the only good choice

Hey, Sorry but iPod really is just the best choice out there, for the best quality your ever going to get in music. If you need to save money on it, you can get an iPod shuffle, the no screen thing can be annoying, but as long as you like at least like 75-80% of your songs you should be fine. And the new ones (the ones that are like, a square inch big) are very durable.

i have a sandisk sansa e260. it has 4gb, so it holds between 1000 and 1500 mp3 files. It also supports wma files, and those take up less space. It allows you to watch videos and listen to fm radio, and has a built in voice recorder. The screen is color and looks like an ipod nano but just a bit bigger and the screen is bigger. I got mine at circuit city a few months ago for $130, but that was on sale. It is still cheaper than the nano, and has more memory plus video. It is also available in 1gb, 2gb, 6gb, and 8gb. I highly recommend this player to anyone.

Why is everyone so hung up on ipod?! There ARE wonderful alternatives out there. I have a Creative Zen M 60G and I LOVE it! I wouldn't trade it for 2 ipods! For one thing Creative gets the big brain bit and offers more playback formats such as mpeg, avi and divx. Does ipod play divx? huh? huh? Go with Creative they have a variety of sizes and are priced lower than ipod.

I also agree with the sandisk option, I hear good things about them.
