I work from home with a company that manufactures products that we’re already buying elsewhere, but they are better, safer & healthier. We just help set up customer accounts and the company pays us to do so. We set our own hours and work as little or as long as we want. It is a wonderful opportunity and has really benefited our family. The best part is, there is no financial risk involved. You are welcome to email me for more information.

Hi, it depends on what you want your business to be. I have already tried it - buying products overseas to resell, but I failed miserably! I got ripped off twice by scamming fake companies. I think it is possible to do this, as other people seem to do it, but I think it's hard and you really have to be careful that the company you are dealing with is real. They are really smart and professional scammers too, so it is hard to tell, even if you do all your proper research.
As for other types of businesses, maybe you could start something that you have a skill in. Write a list on all your skills and go from there.
Once you have a business picked out, you should get a ABN number for yourself and then register a company name. The government will give you info on how to get started and what you need to think about next when you register.
Good luck, hope you're more successful than I was.

I've had great luck joining existing sites and then creating websites, blogs, etc. to promote them. And it was all free to start.

I have found several legitimate work at home sites so far, and one of them made me $494+ in October, $700+ in November, and $838.57 in December. They are free to join.

And by the way--never join a work at home program that wants you to pay up front. If they were making that much money, they wouldn't need to charge you.

I suggest you register on this forum: http://www.youngentrepreneur.com/

I know some of the people who post there and they are all very driven and intelligent young people who have had success (and failure) in starting new businesses from scratch, particularly web-based ones. Im sure they will be able to give you valuable advice.
