Marcelo the 18 year old Real Madrid left full-back would take R.Carlos's place after a couple of years, but Sevilla's highly rated Daniel Alves would take Carlos's place at the moment! and Cicinho the Real Madrid right-back would take Cafu's place.

Cafu has stated that he still wants to play some part in World Cup 2010. He is still in the squad.
Alves can probably be molded into Roberto Carlos' short term replacement, with Marcelo eventually fighting for the place when 2010 grows near.
So, currently, I have to say that Cafu is still captain. As for Ronaldinho being captain, I would agree with that. He is the next captain of Barca, and he well probably end up being the next long term captain for Brazil. Maybe Gilberto Silva would be a short term replacement, by Ronaldinho well probably be captain when 2010 rolls around.

Cicinho could fill the right and probably Alves from Sevilla at the left but Roberto and Cafu are amazing players and the other 2 need to work much more to get at least close to these players. Captain either Ronaldinho or Kaka
Remember just guesses

i imagine Dunga has brazil taking area in spectacular. the challenge with the former Brazil become that too most of the gamers were dominating the midfield. at the same time as it comes all the way down to it, yo want someone who'll placed the ball contained in the decrease back of the internet like Maicon did vs. North Korea. you want a stability of style and power. Thats why the others were left out. i am going to understand why Dunga left Roberto Carlos and Ronaldo out, they are previous. yet ronaldinho must have made this crew. Its continuously exiting observing him play. on an same time as a sub. that stated, even with if he did change his innovations, u cant change a squad once you've submitted your roster to fifa. that is WHAT that is

Marcelo is greatly compared to being the "next Roberto Carlos"---interesting also because Real Madrid is where Marcelo is gonna play at.
Maybe Ronaldinho for Brasil's new captain. I don't know about that one actually..

They will be sadly missed, and I applaud them for realising(unlike Ronaldo), that their time is up now!
DEFINITELY 2 of my favourite players & living legends.
Right up there with The Great Zinedine "ZiZou" Zidane #1
