My IQ is 128 and people say that I'm very intelligent for a 16 woman. I was looking at this article online that said women with high IQs have less of a chance finding a good mate. This makes me furious. I don't understand why men would go after stupid and drunk women like the "beauties" of the show "Beauty and the Geek"

Everyone thinks that I'm moronic because I'm very whimsical and capricious. But i'm a very smart person.

I think some women with high IQ'a are very guarded and condescending. Not most but some. Also some men are stupid and want to hang out with bubbly stupid bimbo chicks.
Most intellengent women should have no problem finding an intelligent man who will love and challenge them.

Hi,
It's not that they like stupid women as much as it is that they are intimidated by a very intelligent woman. I have a male friend who said that he feels dumb around very smart women. And he is very well educated, mind you. I think the guys just want to feel as if they are on equal footing with the women they go out with.
Join some clubs where there are people who have higher than average IQs.
If you are 16, try the debate team if your school has one.

Intelligent men like intelligent women, You generalized why men........go after stupid and drunk women...... that is not a nice comment...A, man wants a woman who can give love, caring ,understanding, kindness and, support to him,to be his mate. Not having intellectual contest with her on IQ. When I am with a man I down play my IQ. I would rather be stupid, and have his undying love and his adoration.

Hey Fexy :) Sounds more like social conditioning than research to TBH, one era is god says dont cheat the next its social scientists telling us that stupid people cheat. There is no correlation between iq and women cheating, I wonder if this is a reflection of the fact that the highs and lows of the bell curve tend to be occupied by men. Also, its nice to see evolutionary psychology being cited in a social science study, perhaps the everything is a social construct knuckle-scrapers are on the retreat?

Some men are definitely intimidated, and some men will even TELL you that they're intimidated. But guys who are intelligent and comfortable with themselves will be attracted to your intelligence. My personal belief is that guys who exclusively chase vacuous giggly girls are looking for a woman to be submissive to him. It's much harder to give orders to a smart woman than a stupid one.
I think the issue is that women seek a partner of the same level (intellectually, educationally etc) but men are more open to partners from a range of backgrounds and situations. My friends and I are all professionals, and whilst we tend to date professional men, our male colleagues seem happier to date the girl who serves them their coffee. Ultimately this means that there are less professional/intelligent/well educated guys for similar women to date. Also, the current trend is that more women are graduating from college and from post graduate education than men.
I think as guys get older start to realise that a pretty face is only going to keep them interested for so long.

I know exactly how you feel. I am also very intelligent and have had a problem dealing with people in general, since I think most people are threatened by intelligence. I once dated a doctor who told me that I had a tendency to dumb down what I said, and assured me that I didn't need to do that with him. Try to date educated men and you should have more success.

I would much rather debate the meaning of life than explain that buffaloes don't have wings.
