Lately, I haven't been the happiest person in the world. I'm not depressed, just certain aspects in my life aren't so great right now. I feel like sometimes, it shows. Girls, I need some help figuring out some things to help me be and seem happier. What should I do?

Welcome to the club. Such is life these days. You have to figure out for yourself what makes you happy. Life is a journey and we are forever searching for something. Once we find it, the search begins for something else. You will find what makes you happy in time. And when it happens, believe me, you'll know it. Just trust in God and trust in yourself and you'll be okay. Something tells me that your happiness is right around the corner. Once you find it, make sure that you appreciate and treasure it, for it can be fleeting.

Life goes in cycles and sometimes it ain't the best. Are you doing all that you can do to make you life better? If so then just wait and things will get better. Also appreciate the unhappiness. It is what you compare happy times to, so you can enjoy them. Understand that we are not all happy all the time. Don't try to seem happier, its OK to be unhappy. Talk to your friends, family, clergy, or mentor about it.

If your sadness gets worse seek help.

surround yourself with people you enjoy being around that can make you laugh or just feel like you can be yourself...or go buy some new clothes or make up that always seems to help for a minute...talking to someone that you can trust or make yourself find new friends and plan little get togethers or a girls night out having some fun...i hope i gave you some good ideas...and cheer up like someone said to me cause i was feeling depressed make yourself a to do list for your life of all the things you want to do in life that would make you feel good. Knowing you can achieve anything you really put your heart to. good luck and hope you feel better *hug*

Try to find things about you and about yourself that you do like and concentrate on caring about yourself, as this will help you to be optimistic about others and the future. Go forward each day doing the best you can at whatever it is that you do.
