They're suppressed in your brain, overshadowed by other thoughts and memories.
Then one day, POOF! They surface again!

Your memories are still there, some are just worth remembering more than others.
What I have a hard time with is my sister will give me a partial statement, say remember any thing about this? and then proceed to tell me all about what this aunt said about it and what this uncle said about it and what this friend of theirs said about it, etc and wants to know why you have a different point of view than the others do.
Hum, maybe because I was 10, she was 8 and they were in their 30's and 50's?

They go to places we don't remember. The head just needs defraging once in awhile. We tend to remember the good memories though.

Way back in your mind, its kind of like storing it in a folder somewhere on your computer. There is a large % of your brain that you dont use, could ease in there until its dragged out.

It's not that you forget memories, it's just that you have trouble recalling them until there is an outside stimulus.

Does it bother you that there was not even one complete, grammatically correct sentence in your question?
