Time Required: 15 minutes
Here's How:
After wax hardens, scrape up excess with a dull knife.
Place part of a paper bag over the remaining wax.
Place a warm iron over the bag and press gently.
Repeat until all the wax is transferred to the paper bag.
If the wax was colored and leaves a stain, pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a rag; gently dab the stain.

You really can get candle wax out of carpet. It's not always easy, but wax can be removed with patience. Dyes from the wax are a different matter. Getting those out depends on what's in the particular dye.
Start by scraping as much wax out of the carpet as you can, with a spoon. Afterwards, put an ice cube or two on the wax to freeze it, leaving them there for a minute. This should harden the wax enough to break it up and get more of it out.
To get the rest of the candle wax out of the carpet, cover the spot with a clean brown paper bag, and place a clothes iron on it, set on low. This liquifies the wax and lets it transfer to the paper. Use a new paper bag as often as necessary until you get all of the wax. This can take some time.

Place a piece of paper (paper bag, computer paper, writing paper, it doesn't matter) over the wax, then iron with a warm iron. Watch the heat, you don't want to melt the carpet fibers. Move paper to a clean area and repeat. Don't worry, this will not harm your iron. The paper will absorb the wax. Do this until all of the wax has been absorbed into the paper. If the wax has left a stain, use a carpet stain remover like Resolve.

Use a hair dryer to melt the candle wax on carpet (or a hard surface such as a table top or a floor). Wipe up the wax as it melts with a towel or cloth. Just make very sure not to overheat the carpet or surface!
Whereas a hair dryer is great for removing wax on a hard surface, people asked about how to remove wax from table cloths and other fabrics. An iron is the solution for removing wax from fabric. Place newspaper on both sides of the fabric to blot up the wax once it melts from ironing over the newspaper with a medium-hot iron. Replace newspaper as needed. Please note that you definitely do not want to use a hair dryer on anything flammable.

1.) Put a paper towel over the stain.
2.) Then put a regular towel that you dry yourself with over the paper towel.
3.) Get an iron and start ironing.
You use the regular towel to iron on top of because you can't iron on top of a paper towel because it could burn. The heat absorbs through and melts the candle wax and onto the paper towel. Repeat if needed. This really works.

well i will not use ice cube on the carpet cause will not work at all. other thing i wouldnt use water wont work either cause it will make the carpet get wet and keep the wax from the candle too sticken. so i would try to se youre own hands to pull it off or if doesnt work then i would use sissors to cut it little bit to take off the dried wax from the carpet. not alot just the part you see just throw it away. just go back to the carpet to see if there anything missing if not then when she comes home after her trip she wont even releazie there wasnt anything on the carpet at all.

Wax will dissolve in solvents so use something like rubbing alcohol, WD40 or acetone. If your carpets are foam backed then apply very carefully as solvents will cause the foam backing to perish. If the carpets are wool with hessian backing you're fine and because it's solvent the colours won't run.
Further to some previous answers - if your carpets are synthetic or partly synthetic an iron can melt the fibres, be careful.

Place a folder paper towel over the spot, then put a warm iron on the towel for a few seconds. Then lift the iron and towel, and you will see that the wax melted and was absorbed into the towel. Repeat as necessary.
Use spot cleaner for any stains that remain.

If I'm not mistaken, your supposed to wait till the wax dries, then put wax paper over the dried wax, then use an iron over it. I believe it sticks to the wax paper. Then use just pull up the wax paper, and voila!

get some newspaper or paper towels put them over the wax, then get an iron, and iron over the paper towels. The paper will absorb the wax, you may need to change the paper a couple of times, it will work.
it won't get worse if you heat it, I have had to do this many times and it has always worked.
