can a person die if they fell of the SIXTH FLOOR of a building?
I'm wondering because I've heard of someone that happened to, and I'm curious. =)

I know a man who tripped and fell over and died. He was only on the first floor. Does that answer your question?

Yes, someone could die from a fall fall that is six floors above the ground. There are a number of factors that have to be analyzed when expecting the result of a fall: height of fall, acceleration at which they fall, angle at which they fall, weight of the person falling, the condition of their body (age, health), and of course what they hit when they land.

depends on what stops them, and exactly how high is the sixth floor of the building in feet. so if they did a 60 foot drop they'd most likely die if they hit the pavement. probably bust their head open.

I think if they fall at the right angle, yes. They say people who try to commit suicide aren't serious unless they jump off a building with more than 5 floors.

I've heard of a man who fell from 17 stories and got out with a broken leg only.

someone could die if they fell off a 3rd floor i think... but anyway

the minimum speed required for a minor injury from falling off something is hitting the ground at 25 feet per second. The minimum requirement for major injury is slamming into the ground at 50 feet per second. when you fall through the air you accelerate at a rate of 32 feet per second/per second, which means every second you fall you fall 32 feet/second faster until you reach terminal velocity.

so at 6 stories probably yeah.

They say that if a person jumps head first off a simple chair, they could kill them self! The 6th floor would almost definitely result in death!

Not if he's fallen in love with the woman I've fallen in love with. the attraction is so strong I could probably survive a fall from the empire state buidling. (not that I"m trying to sound suicidal either)

=)
