Maxi Priest, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Shabba Ranks, Bounty Killer (roots, reality and culture), Wayne Wonder, Barrington Levy, Fugees, Elephant Man, Anthony B... Always go with the old school stuff though. They're much much better. Sean Paul and all of those mainstream people give a bad name to reggae. They don't have the same meanings or feelings expressed as the older songs. Have fun with it... great question!

If you really want to get into Reggae start w/ some old school stuff. Bob Marley is the best. Take it from a Hawaii guy. If you can't get into Bob then you don't really like Reggae. Pretty much any of his relatives are good too. Ziggy, Damien.... Some of Bob's popular ones are buffalo soldier and one love.
