ok, well im doing a Step function research project where i have to graph a step function. i did my function on lost distance phone calls. for every minute, a phone company would charge $3.25.

well on the rubric for my project, it says: 10 points are giving for "real world problems using interpolation and extrapolation, with correct answers"

what in the world does my teacher mean by that???

interpolation is when you estimate a value based on your function that is between the collected data... extrapolation is when you estimate a value based on your function that is outside of the collected data...
