I know that a(max) = w^2Xmax.

On one of my papers it says to get the answer by using the formula a(max) = (kA)/m.

Where does this formula come from? Are the similar ones for velocity and acceleration?

Any help is great! Final is tomorow!

For a spring F=-Kx =ma The force is maximum when x is maximum and the velocity is 0.
a is the acceleration
A is the Amplitude which is also Xmax
w^2 =k/m
