My son is six years old and really wants a dirt bike. Does anyone know what size I should get. I don't want it to be too powerful for him but then again I don't want to get one that ian't big enough either. Anyone that knows about dirt bikes please leave your suggestions.

It depends on how big he is and what he can handle. If he's small for 6, I'd get him a 50, but I started out on an 80 when I was about 12. My neighbor started his kid out at 4 and had a 50. I think a 50 or an 80 would be pretty good for a six year old.

I would highly suggest starting him out on a small quad. Just to get used to speed, stopping, turning, and so forth. If he is just dead set on a dirt bike I wouldn't go any larger than 90 maybe even smaller according to his build and bike manufacturer.

try looking at a ttr 90 at your yamaha dealership they are nice bikes for the young ones ..... but if you plan on riding it in colder weather be warned they are cold blooded, but once you warm them up they run like champs

probably a 50 cc would fit him if your not sure go to a dealer and let him sit on one to see if it is ok.
