The Jews. BUT the Bible makes perfectly clear that there were other peoples who inhabited that land LONG BEFORE the Hebrews migrated (or were led) to the land. However as his chosen people, God would allow Abraham's seed to be fruitful, multiply, and have dominion over that land and protection against their enemies.
Before this turns into a Jew vs. Arab debate, please remember that while God made his covenant with Abram and Sarai by blessing her womb with Issac, the Bible states that God would ALSO BLESS the descendants of Abraham's other seed...Ishmael. Want to take a stab in the dark what the Ishmaelites now call themselves?
In closing, in the Old Testament, the Jews had God's favor, DESPITE NOT MERITING IT. You see this in Exodus, delivered out of the hands of Egyptians to the promise land, Caanan (now referred to as Palestine). But God warned the Jews if they kept rejecting his principles, kept worshipping other idols before him, and rejected his Messiah, they would be delivered into their hands of their enemies TIME AND TIME AGAIN. The Jewish Diaspora is one of the largest cultural diasporas in human history. From the Assyrians to the Chaldeans to the Babylonians to the Persians to the Romans (I could keep going, but I'll stop here), Jews have been conquered and exiled. It is a shame. I don't care what any Israeli tells you, the descendants of the Hebrews STILL HAVE NO PEACE, STILL TRULY DO NOT HAVE A HOMELAND. Zionists are deluding themselves, you can't affront prophecy (Book of Isaiah, Book of Zechariah, Book of Micah) and so forth.
Demographically, God's chosen people, who were to be fruitful and multiply, be like the grains of sands and so forth, now have dwindled in population, because on average, Jews do not procreate to the extent that they should. Oh well.

No one today has divine right to any part of the earth. Under the new covenant, all who except and follow the Son of God will have divine right when the meek inherit the earth.
The nation of Israel was a precursor to the promise that was offered to all mankind through the ransom sacrifice. All true Christians are Israel aka God's chosen people.

Truthfully I think it should belong to everyone. I do believe in the bible teachings and I'm a devout Christian. What is going on with this world is so wrong... just totally wrong; but this was foretold by the prophets.
