How can I order alphabetically a list in word?

Have tried everything but can't do it. I remember though that in a previous version of word 2003 I could do it.

Hiighlight the list and select Table > Sort from the menu.

In Word 2007, select the list and click the Paragraph tab menu, select Sort, and then set your options.

In Word 2003, select the list and then go to Format > Sort.
