my neighbor snores so loudly it keeps me awake at night. the landlord offered me other apartments in the complex but they are more expensive.

a lawyer i talked to said that the snoring violates my rights to a quiet apartment and i can get out of the lease.

30 days. Be sure to talk this over with your landlord and explain that you'd love to stay but you simply can't be nice about it.

Nice works well on this one, because legally you don't have a right to cancel for noise through the walls. So get his signature that you both agree to break the lease. Do not fail to do this since you can be found liable for the entire lease amount. You don't want that.

Just a thought but have you thought about ear plugs. It would be a lot cheaper than breaking a lease.
