one end of the plastic thing is pushed into one of the holes in the cabinet . . how do I get it out?

The shelf will lift out. Once you remove the shelve pull the plastic tabs out of the holes. They should just pull out. If they are stuck use a pair of pliers and pull them out. be careful not to break them. Once out just move them up or down to the level you want. Push the tabs back in, and then place the shelf on top of the plastic tabs.

First take out the shelf, then (with pliers) carefully grab and twist the plastic thingy while pulling outward... or twist it back and forth while pulling putward at the same time.

i have new cabinets. some of the plastic thingys stick in the hole real good, so if you cant pull em out with your hands, trying using some pliers.

those "thingys" should come out easily once u pull the shelf of, just put them in a higher hole then put shelf back on
