Why does our government let people speak their mind & communist goverments are opposed to this?
If communism is supposed to be so peaceful, why have MILLIONS been killed when they voice their opinion or are pro-capitalist?

because Communism is a wonderful thing in theory, but the details of running a country brings reality into the equation...so that it becomes part dictatorship......the same thing happens in democracies....but laws must be made so that people don't take advantage of it, just like un-fettered capitalism would probably include slavery.....our democracy is not perfect, but it works, Communism was a 80 year experiment that sputtered out in Russia...I would say the Chinese version is also a dictatorship that is developing back into a monarchy. The basic tenet of democracy is the freedom to speak and vote...the people have control to and extent....it's longevity is based on the politicians serving at the pleasure of the people. all governments will some day fail

Well communism is peaceful when you don't let anyone speak up. Not a voice is ever heard, at least for long. As much as we sometimes don't care for the opposing point of view, I will always defend our right for the other to be heard.

I believe the answer to this question is because most, I believe, (but not all) Communist countries are ran by dictators. And when a country is ran by a dictator, the dictator will do stupid things like kill people to show other people his power.

Actually there is a current bill coming to the legislature from a representative (female) named Lee. She plans on proposing a bill to congress for a vote that would make THOUGHTS OR VERBAL COMMENTS AND SPEECH against homosexuals PUNISHABLE by law. Get that now...how do they plan on knowing our thoughts? Sounds impossible, but they have a way. These people in offices of power are sick-o.

In a utopian environment maybe......But Commies squash the ones that are against the government.....Can you imagine the line of Libs for execution if that was the way it was here????
