Ignore most of what has been written thus far. If neither one of you has an STD before having anal sex and neither one of you is having sex with anyone else then of course having anal sex without a condom cannot give you an STD,,,period. Anal sex does not cause STDs despite what some of these folks seem to think and if both you and your girlfriend enjoy anal then there is nothing wrong with it. A great number of women enjoy anal, although few will admit to their enjoyment.
Now if either one of you already has an STD then anal sex can make it much easier to pass it along so you want to be sure your right about being disease free but so long as you both don't have an STD before hand then your fine.
Don't listen to these old wives tales about rectal cancer being God's punishment on the wicked analists of the world. If your gilrfriend likes it then just count yourself a lucky man.
I am really getting sick and tired of all the sexual myths that people tell around here as fact.

Think that you can't or won't get an STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease)?
Every year, almost 4 million American teenagers get an STD. If you've had sex, you could be infected with one or more STDs such as genital herpes, chlamydia, or human papilloma virus (HPV). Some STDs cause symptoms. Others don't. You could have one now and not even know it. Some STDs make you sick today and others cause problems later in life--serious problems like cancer or infertility. So you may want to get the facts straight!
How can you get an STD? By having sex (vaginal, anal, oral sex) with an infected person.
How can I avoid being infected with an STD? Abstinence from sexual intercourse is the only certain way to avoid being infected. If you haven't had sex, your chances of getting HPV are small. If you've already had sex, get checked out by having a comprehensive STD screening
OK, condoms are better than nothing, but they're far from perfect.
It's misleading to think condoms make sex safe. Even if they are used consistently and correctly, they can slip or break. And, do you know condoms don't cover everything? Some STDs, like HPV and herpes, can be passed by direct, intimate, skin-to-skin contact from areas not covered by the condom. Oral and anal sex can be dangerous as well.
To sum it up--condoms provide inadequate protection from STDs!

Not okay! Anal tissue is easier to tear (this is why there's a higher incidence of AIDS among gay men)and you can still get std's from anal sex, or if u have anything u can pass it on to her too. play it safe, condoms are definitely a good idea.

It depends what you mean by diseases. To keep from getting diseases from bacteria make sure that after doing anal sex you urinate and clean yourself off really good with warm water and soap.

Your body removes bacteria you picked up from your enviroment by dumping it into your waste excretion system (poop) so I wouldn't stick any exposed skin in the anus without protection. Just because you wash the hole, doesnt mean the inside of the hole is clean.
You risk getting some serious diseases if you dont wrap it up before you go exploring.

you should be using condoms. even though she washes, she can't get all the way up there, and there are so many bacteria living in the anus that it would make you sick. you can get rashes from not using them, or red bumps on the end of your penis. it's so much more sanitary to use condoms, if you knew what was good for you.

Er, yes. Still diseases. But may I suggest a daily bite of ground badger meat? May help with some of the symptoms you're experiencing due to your frequent unprotected butt sex. Badger meat is high in calcium. You can find it in most specialty stores in big cities.

Although it is extremely rare, it is still possible for women to get pregnant when having anal sex. Semen can leak out and get into the vagina, so there is really never a good time to NOT use a condom.

I think you're getting nervous over nothing. People who contract HIV have compromised immune systems to begin with from taking drugs on a casual basis. At best, you'll get an infection of your urethra but nothing a drug can't cure. I think it's nothing to worry about whatsoever.
