According to the doctor I am 32 weeks pregnant because they are going by the 1st day of last period but I didnt know so I estimated, but at the hospital last week they did a sono and it said I am 35 weeks, and they go by the size of the baby. I dont know if I am 32 or 35. Which would be more accurate. The sono says the baby is on schedule for a 35 weeker.

could be either or...or in between. I know that my baby measured a week big one week and then right on at the next appointment. you could be anywhere around there...most likely around 34 or 35 i would think, though

Especially because you estimated the sono will be more accurate - when I had my son, the sono size told them that my baby was slightly older than was thought - the first day of my last menstrual period was accurate, as I wrote records etc. but I had irregular periods, so the baby was about 5 days older than I thought - that meant I had to have the baby induced if he wasnt born by a certain date - 5 days earlier than it would otherwise have been.

This late in the pregnancy it is pretty inaccurate to guess gestational age. In the first trimester it is much more accurate. However, since you guessed at the date of your period you may be closer to 35 than you think.

I would get ready to go soon but not make yourself too crazy thinking about it. The baby will come when its ready. Full term is between 38 and 42 weeks anyway. This isn't an exact science.

Good luck.

you are too far along for the sono to determine how far along you are. They use the sono for the age at the beginning, but when you get further along they are not accurate (That is what my OB told me). Your baby may just be a little bigger!

You are probably closer to 35 weeks...since you were guessing on lmp anyways. Ask the OB what your fundal height has been measuring...that may give you another good clue as the how far along you are.

the doc is just going by what u told him so.... that isnt accurate. that is why they send u to get an ultra sound to see how far u really are. so u are 35 weeks

35 would be more accurate if you only estimated your last day
