Charleston is a gorgeous city. There are tons of restaurants, a wonderful aquarium and many other great museums, Fort Sumter, and lots of architecture to see.

Yes Charleston is popular with older people b/c it has mostly historical appeal, old houses, and tours. It is not as big into nightlife, clubs and bars.

However, my husband and I found the quaint charm to be beautiful. And relatively inexpensive (not sure where you live). Definitely see the aquarium.

If you are talking about SC, by all means it is a great pick. Last 4th of July I visited Charleston SC and Savannah GA and absolutely loved both of them. I am 35 and found everything from the beach to the nightlife a blast in both places. I currently live in the "great " state of MS and will be moving to one of the two cities as soon as my better half gets finished with pharmacy school. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!1

YES! I have lived all over the US and Charleston is the BEST city. It is like stepping back in time- old architecture, horses and buggies, Spanish moss-draped trees. Unbelievable restaurants, bars that George Washington drank in, shops galore. And everything is close together so all your tours are walking, buggy or trolley. Highlight is the ghost tour. Of course, it's right on the water so be sure to see the battery (a row of the biggest mansions on the water's edge)
