I need to create a magazine for my image, text, desktop publishing course.
I have no idea what to do it on, but it has to be interesting and reach a large demographic.
Anyone have any ideas?

Travel, helpful hints, stress caused by trying to figure out what kind of magazine article to write,life in general, Qs & As on Yahoo, and the responses, Different types of transportation, small town living, large town living. Hope these help. Or do a story about the different responses you get from your question here. That would be a whopper. Good luck.

You could do a teen boys' magazine - there isn't one out there that is general interest. You could cover video games, sports, girls, car care, fashion, music, movies, etc. A plus of creating a magazine that isn't like one that exists is that you won't get accused of ripping another one off and you'll get extra points for doing something different.
You could also do a magazine that covers something you're an expert about. Are you a music junkie? A foodie? Or did you just go through a major life event that you know all about now, like buying your first house, moving, studying abroad, or getting married? There are magazines out there about EVERYTHING so no idea is too weird.

Do articles about social networking sites, and the type of people it attracts, the social norms created by the site users, the pros and cons of the sites etc etc, the whole online community thing would make for a great article.

Maybe do a story about the struggles of life and find someone to interview about beating all odds with their back against the wall. Seriously we need a little inspiration every once in a while.

Do a survey on average people like here on YA and on the street etc... The survey question will be 'If you got to make a magazine what would you do it on?' and 'Why' All the responses will be different and some unique.

hi suzy,me also is making a mag. but i make it about youth all over the world,but you can make yours about children or internet (this new world which attract youth espically blogs ).
