What would Bill Clinton's title be if Hillary Clinton won in 2008? I don't want any politcal arguments - just the mr. clinton's title.
I mean, it could be First Gentleman or somthing like that, but wouldn't his previous title of "president" take precidence???

I think if Hillary wins, he'll be referred to as the Invisible Man. Last thing she will put up with is the perception that she's not the "real" President. Bill will be banished to New York, except for ceremonial occasions.

But.. to answer directly.. I think he'll be called the former President Clinton.

It would probably go something like. President and her husband Former President Bill Clinton. First Gentlemen just doesn't sound right and I believe the media would do all possible to avoid using that term.

There is no official title for the spouse of the president because they are not elected officials. You may call him anything you like. "Mr president" would still be correct because people retain the title of the highest office they have held. First ___ something will be used because of precedent.

He will always be called "Mr. President" because that's a title you keep for life. And, its probable a lot of people would want to call him the "First Man."
